Shoe care advice
You come a long way by just follow these four steps (more on these in this guide):
– Don’t use the same pair for two consecutive days
– Brush/wipe off the shoes after use
– Use shoe trees in cedar wood
– Treat with shoe cream
Regarding the last bullet point we recommend Saphir Medaille d’Or Crème Pommadier, depending on how often they are used it may well be enough to polish them once a month or so. Remember that any care is better than no care at all. Creme Pommadier is a very ample shoe cream, so use small amounts and apply evenly over the shoe, either with a polishing cloth or an applicator brush. Also use this brush for the area between the upper and the sole edge, and don’t forget the sole- and heel edge itself which also is of leather and needs care and new colour.
Let the shoe rest 5-10 minutes and brush of residues and bring out the shine with a shoe brush with horsehair. Repeat 1-2 times if the leather is dry or have lots of marks. If you wish to achieve a higher shine you may combine it with Saphir Pate de Luxe wax for the final shining finish and further protection.
